a little bit of history.....
Garry and Sharyn Gibson are the current custodians of Coragulac House after purchasing the property in 2013.
Since taking ownership of the property we embarked on our restoration journey with this amazing property. The homestead built in 1872 has seen a number of changes in its early years having a least three major reconfigurations in the first 20 years extending the Homestead from the original 5 rooms to now over 35 rooms situated over 1000 squares. The homestead is configured in a horse shoe shape with a central courtyard, featuring two conical towers on the north and south sides of the Homestead with a prominent wrap around veranda across the front of the property with the crowning glory being a large coffin shaped stained glass skylight.
The Homestead has been in private hands throughout its history being central to the local and wider communities being owned by prominent families hosting royalty and dignitaries alike.
Garry and Sharyn now open the the Homestead for privately guided tours sharing the history of the Homestead and the families who lived here. Two accommodation options are available for visitors to the area experience a very unique setting that is Coragulac House Estate.
Wedding receptions and ceremonies are also held on the property offering a truly unique opportunity with Ceremonies held in the gardens surrounding the Homestead, photography inside the Homestead and the reception in the original Coach House and Stables creating a truly rustic but elegant affair.
